YUFE Connects: Dr Agnieszka Szulc-Obłoza’s Research Fellowship at the University of Rijeka
From 12 May to 10 June 2026, Dr Agnieszka Szulc-Obłoza completed a research fellowship at the University of Rijeka, Croatia, focusing on the topic Sustainable Consumption in the Context of Sustainable Development.
The fellowship programme included a review of recent literature and ongoing research projects, participation in international seminars, and methodological consultations with experts in consumer behaviour and sustainable development. An important component of the stay was the presentation of the researcher’s own findings concerning the determinants of sustainable consumption, followed by discussions on their further development and publication opportunities in international scientific journals.
The collaboration with international partners also resulted in the development of a concept for the research project Sustainable Consumption as a Population of Rules: An Evolutionary-Economic Approach, prepared for submission to the NCN OPUS 31 call. In addition, a draft scientific paper was prepared, focusing on the relationships between digitalisation, cultural determinants, and sustainable consumption in European Union countries.
The fellowship contributed to the development of research and methodological competences, strengthened publication potential, and expanded international scientific cooperation networks, creating a solid foundation for future joint projects and scientific publications.
