Professional Focus:

Over 35 years of experience in soil science and higher education, with a strong emphasis onsoil fertility, nutrient management, and sustainable use of soils. Works on plant nutrition and its influencing factors, studying the effects of various mineral fertilizers, organic manures, and biostimulants within the soil–plant system.

Academic degrees:

Ph.D. degree University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Debrecen, 2000, Possibilities and application of ion chromatography to determine the anion content of soil and plant extracts

Habilitation process in Crop and horticultural sciences, University of Debrecen, 2013, Use of fertilizers and alternative nutrient sources in nutrient management

Research & Educational Output:

  • Author of 241 scientific publications in soil fertility, nutrient management, sustainablefertilizer use, and soil microbiome research.

Education Activities:

  • Continuous teaching of agrochemistry, plant nutrition at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels for35 years.
  • Developed courses on fertilizer use, nutrient advisory systems, and sustainable nutrientmanagement and including the study of soil chemical properties.
  • Supervised numerous graduate and doctoral students in topics on soil–plant–nutrientinteractions.
  • Educated professionals and farmers through lectures, workshops, and training programs(e.g., Gazdafórum 2020, Visegrád 2024).
  • Authored and contributed to e-books and teaching materials on agrochemistry for highereducation.
