YUFE Connects

YUFE CONNECTS – EUROPEAN PLATFORM FOR ACADEMIC COOPERATION OF THE NICOLAS COPERNICUS UNIVERSITY

Project description:

The main objective of the project is to increase the internationalization of the academic activities of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (UMK) within the framework of
the Young Universities for the Future of Europe network by intensifying mobility, developing competencies in building and developing sustainable
international research and teaching partnerships, and strengthening the international position of UMK in 2024-26.

The project involves the preparation and implementation of the following activities:

  1. YUFE ODYSSEY – organization of exchanges of academic staff with universities affiliated with the YUFE network.
  2. Conference ODYSSEY – participation in prestigious scientific conferences, study visits, internships, summer schools, seminars, workshops, training courses, and intensive courses.
  3. YUFE Student Summer Odyssey – a summer school dedicated to YUFE university students.
  4. Academy of Modern Competences – certified training courses for academic staff in industry-specific English or Project Based Learning (PBL).
  5. YUFE Symposium – scientific conference with the working title “European City of the Future. Visions and Strategies for Sustainable Development.”
  6. YUFE: Joint Scientific Voices – support for the preparation and publication of joint scientific studies.

Target group:

The project is aimed at 79 people:

  • UMK academic staff – 40 people
  • Academic staff from universities affiliated with YUFE – 15 people
  • Students from universities affiliated with YUFE – 24 people

It is possible to report to the Managing Authority or Intermediate Body any suspicion of non-compliance of the Project or the Beneficiary’s activities with the Convention
on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, drawn up in New York on December 13, 2006 (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 1169, as amended), hereinafter referred to as “KPON”.
Signals, reports, or complaints concerning the non-compliance of FERS projects with the provisions of the CRPD may be submitted by natural persons (project participants or their proxies and representatives), institutions participating in the implementation of European Union funds, social partners (associations, foundations),
by means of (in each of the following cases, the report is considered to have been submitted in writing):

1) traditional mail – in the form of a letter to the address of the ministry: Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, ul. Wspólna 2/4, 00-926 Warsaw
or the address of the Intermediate Body: National Center for Research and Development, Ul. Chmielna 69, 00-801 Warsaw,

2) the e-PUAP mailbox of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy or the National Center for Research and Development.
