We are happy to announce that prof. Teemu Makkonen has joined to our community. From the academic year 2020/2021, prof. Makkonen conducts classes entitled: Innovation and entrepreneurship in rural development in the field of Spatial and Geo-management at Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management.
Teemu Makkonen is a professor at the Karelian Institute, University of Eastern Finland. He graduated as a PhD specializing in economic geography, in 2012 from the University of Helsinki. His research interests include innovation and rural/regional development. Prof. Makkonen is an author of many scientific researches concerned in economic geography.
