Recruitment to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences Academia Scientiarum Thoruniensis and Academia Copernicana Interdisciplinary Doctoral School for the 2021/22 academic year have now opened.
Within the Earth and related environmental sciences discipline, candidates are being sought to conduct the following PhD projects:
- Low-altitude photogrammetry in studies of pedodiversity of moraine plateaus (dr hab. Marcin Świtoniak, NCU prof.).
- Effects of the restoration method used after wind storm on characteristics and development of the forest ecosystem after disturbance (dr hab. Piotr Sewerniak, NCU prof.).
- Spatial-temporal landscape structure variability of Tuchola Forest in the gradient of human–nature interaction (dr hab. Mieczysław Kunz, NCU prof.).
- The impact of air pollution on the health condition of Toruń inhabitants – geospatial study (dr hab. Mieczysław Kunz, NCU prof.).
- Environmental risk assessment related to potential soil acidification in the Polish coastal zone based on predictive maps (dr hab. Piotr Hulisz, NCU prof., dr Anton Boman).
We warmly invite those who, upon completion of their Masters degree, wish to further develop their research interests under the guidance of experienced mentors, and to undertake interesting research using modern scientific methods and aparatus.
