1. Matriculation ceremony and orientation meetings
The official opening of the academic year and the matriculation ceremony for new students will take place on 5 October at 9:00 at Aula NCU (Gagarina street 11). Immediately after the matriculation ceremony, orientation meetings for first-year students of each study programme will be held at the Faculty building at 1 Lwowska Street. Attendance at the matriculation ceremony and the orientation meetings is mandatory.
The University inauguration of the year will take place on 1 October 2026 at 11:00 at Aula NCU and will be broadcast live by UMK TV.
2. Start of classes
Classes at our Faculty will begin on 6 October. The class timetable for USS students available at: https://www.geo.umk.pl/en/yufe-uss/for-current-students/
3. Setting up the university account
Every NCU student is required to have an account on the University server. The account is used to access the USOS system and contact the University staff. You can create your account at: https://konto.uci.umk.pl/.
Your student ID number can be found in the IRK system. Your university email address will have the following format: student_ID_number@stud.umk.pl
4. Registration for class groups and university-wide courses
Before the beginning of the academic year, students are required to register for class groups. You are also required to select univeristy-wide courses. Please, read the information on registration at: www.geo.umk.pl/en/yufe-uss/for-current-students/. Registration for class groups opens on 28 September 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026. Registration for university-wide courses ends on 11 October.
5. Student oath and electronic student ID card
New students are required to take the student oath via USOSweb. It will be possible for 7 days starting on 1 October. You officially acquire student status upon signing the student oath.
